Capability Evidence
The Numbers That
End the Argument.
Every figure below is drawn from project records, not marketing estimates. Audited annually by an independent QA panel.
On the Meridian Bridge Replacement in British Columbia, our rotary percussive rigs penetrated 340 metres of fractured granite and glacial till to reach competent bedrock — a depth record for the Pacific Northwest. The bridge has carried 22 million vehicle crossings since commissioning without a single differential settlement event.
"BoreFoundation gave us the pile schedule on day one and never moved it. That's the only reason we made the pour window."
— D. Hargreaves, P.Eng., Senior Structural Engineer, Meridian Bridge Project
Across 2,100+ site investigations and 847 deep foundation installations since 2005, BoreFoundation has missed a contractual pour date three times — all attributable to force-majeure flooding events. Every other mobilization has arrived on schedule, logged, and departed before the GC needed the pad.
"Three missed dates in twenty years. That's the number I use when I'm defending the spec to an oversight board."
— M. Okafor, Municipal Infrastructure Director, City of Edmonton
Every investigation produces a full borehole log, lab analysis report, and geotechnical interpretation memorandum — not a summary sheet. Our data library now covers 14 geological provinces across North America and represents the largest proprietary subsurface dataset held by a specialty geotechnical contractor.
"The log quality is peer-review ready out of the box. We submit it to the municipal engineer as-is."
— Dr. S. Lindqvist, P.Geo., Principal Geotechnical Engineer, Apex Structural Consultants

Edmonton, AB — 2023
Yellowhead Interchange Expansion
Soft lacustrine clays to 22m depth required a full pre-augering program before driven H-pile installation. BoreFoundation completed the geotechnical investigation, pile design, and installation within a 14-week weather window — two weeks ahead of schedule.
Calgary, AB — 2022
St. Clare Medical Centre
Hospital structures demand near-zero differential settlement. Our 480 micro-pile installation into Paskapoo sandstone delivered a measured settlement of less than 0.3 mm at 18-month post-load monitoring.
Fort McMurray, AB — 2021
Kearl Oil Sands Containment Berm
Muskeg and thaw-sensitive permafrost demanded thermal pile analysis before any steel was driven. BoreFoundation's ground-freeze monitoring program prevented frost-heave damage across the full berm perimeter.
Peer-Reviewed Methodology
Tested Against
Every Failure Mode.
Our investigation and installation process has been independently peer-reviewed by three university geotechnical departments and cited in fourteen journal publications since 2018.
Desk Study & Site Walk
Geological maps, borehole archives, and a physical walk before a single rig is mobilized. No surprises on the invoice.
Intrusive Investigation
Rotary core, SPT, CPTu, and piezometer installation. Every test follows ASTM D-series or equivalent CSA standards.
Laboratory Classification
Grain-size, Atterberg limits, consolidation, and triaxial shear — ISO 17025 accredited lab, chain-of-custody documented.
Design Recommendation
Pile type, depth, load capacity, and settlement prediction with sensitivity analysis — peer-reviewed before issue.
Installation & QA Monitoring
Dynamic load testing, integrity testing, and settlement monitoring through the full construction sequence.
